Liburan kali ini membawa kami ke kafe mungil di daerah PIK dengan salah satu menu dessert andalan-nya berupa pancake ala Jepang yang lembut dan tebal. Buat penggemar pancake tentu saja hal ini tidak bisa dilewatkan begitu saja, yang berakhir dengan keputusan untuk mampir ke Kamakura Japanese Cafe ini. Yang perlu diperhatikan bila bertepatan jam makan siang agak susah untuk dapat tempat di sini mengingat ukuran cafe yang agak mungil.

Setelah menunggu beberapa waktu, hidangan yang kami pesan pun siap disajikan (pancake ala Kamakura membutuhkan waktu kira-kira 20 menit, untuk mendapatkan tekstur yang sempurna). Karena tujuan semula ke sini memang khusus untuk cemal-cemil jadi tidak ada makanan berat yang kami pesan menjelang sore itu.

PANCAKES

STRAWBERRY TEA PANCAKE

IDR 48.000

Pancake pilihanku hari itu adalah Strawberry Tea Pancake (agak berbeda dari gambar di menu, mungkin ada bahan yang sudah habis), pancake lembut dan tebal (lagi-lagi tidak setebal di buku menu, tapi tetap jauh lebih tebal dari pancake yang sering kita temui) dengan rasa original yang tidak terlalu manis dilengkapi dengan topping es krim vanilla dan saus strawberry yang cenderung asam dan segar merupakan perpaduan yang pas untuk yang tidak terlalu suka makanan yang terlalu manis. Love it!

KAMAKURA MATCHA STYLES PANCAKE

Makanan berikutnya yang dicoba adalah pancake andalan dari Kamakura, sesuai namanya pancake tebal dan lembut ini hadir dengan rasa matcha (green tea, maaf untuk foto yang sudah agak luber). Toppingnya kali ini cukup lengkap dengan kacang merah, es krim vanilla, chips dan puree dari ubi. Untuk pancake dan puree-nya (sukaa...) tidak manis yang diimbangi dengan sirup homemade manis untuk menyeimbangkan keseluruhan rasa dari hidangan pancake yang rumit ini (mungkin agak terlalu manis untuk yang tidak terlalu suka manis seperti aku, tapi teman makanku sih suka).

Kalau hidangan yang satu ini sepertinya tidak perlu penjelasan panjang lebar, kentangnya gurih dan renyah pas banget buat cemilan teman ngobrol sekaligus ganjal perut.

Minuman soda dengan sirup homemade dengan bahan dasar jahe. Enak dan segar untuk diminum di tengah udara yang panas hari itu. Ditambah dengan harga ekonomis bila dipesan bersamaan dengan makanan utama ataupun pancake.

Waktu tidak terasa berlalu, tapi tidak untuk jam ini (alias stuck) sempat tertipu sebentar...

Tidak terasa waktu berlalu dengan cepat, saatnya untuk lanjut ke tempat berikutnya. Secara keseluruhan tempat ini sangat nyaman, selain makanannya enak dan cocok di lidah (penggemar masakan Jepang juga soalnya), pelayan-pelayannya juga ramah. Cerita Kuliner Nanny's Pavillon: Terrace @ Central Park - nuraisya blog

Back to Nanny's Pavillon again, it still amaze me how I keep coming back to this restaurant from time to time. But then again I think I know why, because each branch of Nanny's Pavillon is unique. If you've read my previous post about Nanny's Pavillon: Sewing Room you certainly know that each Nanny's Pavillon has a concept according to every part of a house, more specific country house. This time I choose to bring up Nanny's Pavillon: Terrace, just like it's name, the restaurant that located at Central Park Mall has a warm terrace feeling of a house. NP Terrace has two section, inside the restaurant and outside. The inner part facing Sogo Department Store while the outside part facing to Tribeca Park. This time I chose to sit outside and I like it, the view is nice especially when the weather is friendly. Sitting in a white garden chair and its table, surrounded with trees and white fences with pots of flowers and feeling the wind blows and the sound of water from the Koi's Pond at Tribeca Park. It does feel like eating in a real terrace.

And... for the menu, it's time to try Rétréci Pancakes, the word Rétréci itself meaning narrowed. A little different from regular pancake which is thick, these pancakes are a lot thinner just like crepes.

Olivio's Peach Shrink Rétréci

This pancake is super delicious, I totally love and recommend it. Super thin pancake folded, with peach cuts, almonds and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it. The three toppings together make a perfect combination with it's mild sweetness. Arghh, I'm craving for more of this rétréci pancake...

Lynette's Ban Guava Rétréci Pancake

This is the other pancake I tried that day, actually I ordered for Lynette's Ban Berry Rétréci Pancake. But somehow it turned up into Ban Guava instead of Ban Berry. The toppings on top of this pancake are banana cuts, guava juice and whip cream, the guava juice replacing for blueberry. Even though it came out different, the taste is still good although not as good as Peach Shrink.

Olivio's Fried Buttermilk Mushrooms

To accompany pancakes that day I also order this fried mushrooms. Shiitake Mushrooms fried with coat of buttermilk, served with mayonaise. Eating one of these crispy fried mushrooms will make you take another one, dip it into the mayonaise and chilli sauce and another one..until the plate is empty. This menu is great for afternoon snack and also inspired me to try my own Fried Mushrooms recipe at home later.

Rock Melonade

For the drink corner, I chose Rock Melonade. A mix of Melon and Lemon drink, suit to freshened your day. These two pair of fruits will never failed to satisfy me, since I always love to make a mix juice of them.

Our new neighbor Nanny's Pavillon: Le Jardin des Fleurs

Confused by the picture above and wondering why there's other Nanny's Pavillon branch in this post? I will explain to you all why I put it here too. Actually at Central Park Mall there's two Nanny's Pavillon branches now. They are Terrace and Le Jardin des Fleurs, located not far from Terrace just like neighbor. Le Jardin des Fleurs means Garden Flowers in France, that's why there's more flowers here than Terrace. For those whose looking for more romantic dinner, I recommend you to try Le Jardin des Fleur. And don't forget that we're approaching Valentine's Day soon, whether Terrace or Le Jardin des Fleur will be a good option to enjoy lunch or dinner with your dearest one. Okay time to go and make plan for my Valentine too.. until my next post ^-^

After last weekend eating Nanny's Pavillon pancake, now it's time to make my own pancake. I got this recipe from my aunty whose teaching cooking class, so I guess it's worth to try. The recipe and the making itself quite simple, so here we go.

Cerita Kuliner Nanny's Pavillon: Sewing Room @ Gandaria City - nuraisya blog

Last Saturday me and my best friend Tika decided to used our Nanny's Pavillon promo coupon that I bought earlier from Groupon Indonesia. So we agreed to meet at Nanny's Pavillon Sewing Room, Gandaria City Mall. Why there? Because Gandaria City is the most fair place to meet during our holiday, considering the distance between mine and Tika's place. And the most of all we've never eat at Nanny's Pavillon Sewing Room before. What makes it different from any other Nanny's Pavillon branches? Of course it differs, every Nanny's Pavillon branches are unique, there's none that a kind between them including Sewing Room.

Located on the Mainstreet UG Gandaria City Mall, you can almost recognized this restaurant from afar. With it's country style furniture, sewing props and big logo on the display window. You can choose to sit inside to enjoy the sewing room environment or outside the restaurant if you like much brighter feel and space, we prefer to sit outside that day. Actually this is my second Nanny's Pavillon experience, the first one was at Nanny's Pavillon Terrace, Central Park Mall check here for the blog link. As you can see below, the environment inside the restaurant filled with sewing props such as line of threads on the wall, rolls of cloth on the inner side next to the cute dresses and collection of buttons in jars. And there is a long dining table that has sewing machine on both end of the table, ohhh I soo sooo love to eat here.

And now onto the menu we eat that day, there is various menu provided here but we're not going to brought all that up after all we're still girls with little stomach to fill. We're just want to enjoy good atmosphere while spending the weekend with girly talks and delicious food, specially pancakes. Here we can find many homey recipe's pancakes you all gonna love.

Alvin's Black Crunchy Caramel Pancake

Soft and thick original pancake served with oreo flakes, one scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce spread on top. The taste of course delicious, and the portion is adequate, eating one alone is enough to fill your tummy instantly. For you who love the original taste of pancake, this menu is a good choice.

Ynez's Blueberry Cheese Roll Pancake

IDR 39.000 (before tax & service)

A thinner and crispier pancake with cream cheese rolled inside, served with one scoop of vanilla ice cream and blueberry sauce on top. These one I can say suited for cheesy fans just like my friend. The taste of cheese almost dominating the full flavor of this pancake. Combined with the sweet and sour came from blueberry sauce make the taste quite unique in a delicious way of course.

This refreshing drink actually can cover for four persons. Served in a bottle, when the waitresses serve this drink they always offer to pour it to our glasses. Contained fresh fruits cuts such as mango, apple, pear, strawberry, blueberry with blueberry extract. If you like more fresh and sour taste you can choose this flavor, but if not you can try other flavor available which is mango. They both taste good and refreshing.

That conclude my review on Nanny's Pavillon Sewing Room, hoping to see you all on my next review about other Nanny's Pavillon branches with their all uniqueness and other delicate meal that still waiting to tried on the menu. So until then... ^-^
